Charles J. Bubeck - CEO
Mr. Bubeck is an active entrepreneur in the technology marketplace with almost 30 years of experience in the computer industry. After studying computer science and holding a variety of engineering and sales positions, he founded Columbia Micro Systems, Inc. in 1981. Several years later, he joined Apple Computer as a Senior Systems Engineer, helping launch the original Macintosh® computer in 1984. Following his ten-year career at Apple, which included managing the company's East Coast system engineering and support initiatives, Mr. Bubeck, along with several former Apple employees, launched Ease Technologies, Inc. in 1993. Under Mr. Bubeck's leadership and experience, Ease has grown to be recognized as an important high tech innovator for the past fifteen years. StarLaw, L.L.C. was formed in 2005 as a subsidiary of Ease to provide innovative solutions specifically for the legal market.
John A. Douglas, Jr. - Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Douglas is an 18-year computing industry veteran with extensive experience in software development, business development and strategy, technology integration, and marketing. His experience includes tenures at Apple Computer, Alpha Technologies Group, and pioneering work for Micro Dynamics, Ltd. in the areas of document imaging, high speed search and retrieval, and process automation / workflow management applications. Prior to joining StarLaw, Mr. Douglas also served as Global Director of Trading & Operations for Reuters with customers in and domain over Europe, Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
Leo F. Farber - Vice President & COO
Mr. Farber has over 30 years of experience in managing operations in a variety of industries. After studying Business Administration at the University of Maryland, Mr. Farber held sales and executive management positions with Harris-Lanier and Booz Allen & Hamilton, for 14 and 5 years respectively, achieving number one positions in sales, sales management and executive management while at Harris-Lanier. Mr. Farber joined Ease Technologies in 1995 to provide strategic sales management. He currently oversees all management operations at the company.
Steve Behrendt, Director of Sales
Mr. Behrendt has worked in operations and business development management for more than 17 years, including significant time working with AmLaw 200 Law Firms on issues of legal information technology. Prior to joining StarLaw in 2005, Mr. Behrendt co-founded the Atlantic Information Management Group, a Records Management consulting company specializing in law firm and legal department information management issues. Mr. Behrendt has significant substantive experience in the areas of Records Management, Document Management, Network Infrastructure and Strategic Technology Consulting, and he holds responsibility for managing StarLaw's worldwide sales and partner relationships.
James M. Booth, Vice President of Client Services
Mr. Booth leverages 25 years of IT experience of managing a team of talented professionals responsible for delivering high value and comprehensive business solutions based on the StarLaw Enterprise Information Management system. With a guiding vision for Service Excellence, the Client Services Team works with select business partners to ensure StarLaw clients succeed by assisting with planning, design, deployment, technical and project management throughout the solution life cycle. Mr. Booth’s professional experience drives this vision and includes a broad range of responsibilities and roles ranging from IT process and architectural consultant to network design engineer to his most recent position as CIO of a top U.S. Law Firm included within the Amlaw 100 with over 1,000 lawyers and revenues exceeding $600,000,000.
