StarLaw uses scalable enterprise-class architecture for all components of the StarLaw Suite. Though it can easily support multiple physical locations and thousands of users, the StarLaw back end leverages the power of Microsoft SQL server, which is found in many small and mid-sized law firms. All user interaction, however, is channeled through StarLaw's proprietary kernel, which load balances information requests to SQL and to file servers alike. The StarLaw kernel also controls the SQL and embedded dtSearch engines used to query the database.
